Freedom Park is an outdoor park and museum at the Greater Omaha Marina on the bank of the Missouri River at 2497 Freedom Park Road in the East Omaha section of Omaha, Nebraska. It displays numerous military aircraft and artillery pieces along with its two major exhibits, the World War II minesweeper and Cold War-era training submarine .〔(City of Omaha; Omaha Parks and Recreation; Freedom Park )〕 The park was closed because the Missouri river flooded and they were working for 4 long years to clean it up. On October 7, 2015 Freedom Park announced that they are open. ==Exhibits== * * *A-4 Skyhawk *A-7 Corsair II *HH-52A Seaguard Previously the medium landing ship was anchored at the park, there was work being done to restore the ship to her former glory. Unfortunately what the park people didn't know was that the people they hired were deliberately doing a poor job of restoring the ship. The people working on the ship were part of an elaborate plan to discredit Freedom Park so they could get the ship.
